jake22si 5 #1 Posted October 10, 2008 I lost my points cover screws on my k241s ,motor. Anybody know what size they are?
TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #2 Posted October 10, 2008 I believe they are 10-32 X about 3/8" long. Take one of the screws holding the points mounting bracket to the block - they are all identical.
sorekiwi 761 #3 Posted October 11, 2008 You sure they're not 10-24, TT? I seem to remember turning my shop upside down looking for a couple, and I have a heap of fine thread stuff lying around. 3/8 long seems about right.

linen beige 14 #7 Posted October 11, 2008 I may not walk to the shop for one,.....but I'd walk to town for two. 'Specially ifn' one was coarse and the other fine (Variety I say,.... variety.). I just walked into the other room (39 steps round trip.) and checked one from a K-91. It's 10-24 NC with the threaded portion 3/8ths long.

TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #9 Posted October 11, 2008 That's correct. If you want to be a little fancier (and make them much easier to install) you can use socket head capscrews. (then you can use an "Allen wrench") :USA:
