ericj 1,578 #236 Posted November 17, 2014 i don't mind letting who ever win if that means the snow holds off a little while longer here, although i would rather have several inches of the white stuff then a 1" to a dusting they eric j

ericj 1,578 #238 Posted November 17, 2014 (edited) Ed you know you have to have back ups for the back up, how else can we justify having so many wonderful tractors eric j Edited November 17, 2014 by ericj
RMCIII 838 #239 Posted November 17, 2014 Eric - What a FLEET of sure footed steeds, ready for winter work! Eany, meany, miny, moe - which work horse should get to play in the snow! Technically, Craig is correct. Jake had the first photos of a Horse playing in the snow..... But fun did have the first video, even though his horse must have decided to be a little on the wild side, and decided to go with green! Rob
Fun Engineer 859 #240 Posted November 17, 2014 Sorry guys. My fleet of horses are stuffed away in the barn and I don't have anything "red" hooked up yet. Besides you always play with the new toys first, right? [emoji41] Sent from my tractor seat.
bean 85 #241 Posted November 17, 2014 (edited) I know this isn't a wheel horse tractor, but when the snow is too deep for the plow. my troy bilt snow blower does all the heavy lifting Edited November 17, 2014 by bean
82Caddy 851 #242 Posted November 17, 2014 I'll be using this.Just need to decide if I need/want to replace tires (and what with) this fall or wait and then figure out how to add fluid to the wheels and how rear to add a bunch more weight to the rear. Then figure out how to add chains to the fronts as well.I have a blower attachment too.Yeah, lots to sort out before winter hits... Well that was short lived. Added rear chains, wheel weights, snow push blade and changed the oil because it was 10 or more years old. I got about 2/3 of my driveway cleared when it started puking oil out of the breather cover. Thought it was just a failed breather/valve cover gasket or the breather plate on incorrectly. Nope, still puking oil everywhere. Guess I'm back to using a shovel until I can get this engine oil issue sorted out. Needless to say I'm a bit sad.
RMCIII 838 #243 Posted November 17, 2014 Caddy - well that ceritanly is NO GOOD! Hope you get runnign again real soon! Rob
Brrly1 1,146 #244 Posted November 18, 2014 Heres a couple of shots of the xi that will be prowling the walks. Probably add C195 with a blade and a C175 going to a good friends house. Just pictures of the xi for now
niftynoah 25 #245 Posted November 18, 2014 Caddy - That's too bad, hopefully you wont have too much trouble fixing it.I call those old kohlers 'killer kohlers' because you cant hardly break em. Noah
RMCIII 838 #246 Posted November 18, 2014 John - I thought you got rid of your "xi"? I also heard, from a little birdie, something else just may have gaught your attention recently. Not sure about that price, but it looks nice. It's rare you see those for sale. Rob
MalMac 1,331 #247 Posted November 18, 2014 Same team as last year. Except 2 stage swap out for a more manageable single tall shoot.
RMCIII 838 #248 Posted November 18, 2014 MM - make sure you get a video of the single in action..... You will not miss that 2 stage 1 bit once you lay into that first decent snowfall with it. But as I have mentioned before, Sno Jet will really make that thing perfrom, even better. $10.00 a can, but well worth it when do a test without it, vs. with it. Austin860 82 #249 Posted November 18, 2014 Well here's the cab I just finished up. Can't wait to use it. Just need to attach the blade the rear chains and she's ready to go! Used 16 gage clear, marine grade plastic. Very happy with how it came out, and for a grand total of under 100 bucks, ya can't beat it!
Flatheadpete 183 #250 Posted November 18, 2014 Finally had a chance to use mine this morning. After a quick jump it fired right up and pushed like no other. Not bad for a 48 yr old tractor that spent the last 8 yrs parked outside.
