lobo 22 #1 Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) Hello everyone, sorry to be a pain but I'm in the process of cleaning my carb on the 16hsp Kohler and the question I have is, are all the gasket kits the same? They are advertised on flea bay to fit all from 10 to 16. Also, what is the part# for the shaft bushing? KC9KAS 4,744 #2 Posted September 15, 2014 I have to say NO on all carb kits being the same. I recently aquired a C-160 and started rebuilding the carb. The Toro dealer insisted that his kit was correct for my engine, but it wasn't! His kit was for a Kohler carb, and I had a Walbro carb. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
oldredrider 2,553 #3 Posted September 15, 2014 It's all about specifics. Get the right rebuild kit for the right carb. Kohler carbs are VERY different than Walbro carbs. A C-160 SHOULD have a Kohler carb but there is no guarantee that it hasn't been changed in 40 years. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Agage1 83 #5 Posted September 16, 2014 Actually I've wondered about this too. I bought some parts from a closed down Wheelhorse dealer a few years ago. I bought a bunch of carb repair kits and he said the kits were the same for Kohler carbs 7-16 HP. I've always questioned this. They were nos and the part numbers are worn off so I can't check them.
