Ed Kennell 38,178 #1 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) I know, It's not a horse, but I kinda like the MTD...It has some character and it is all there. Craftsman snow blower is cool also. Anyone have any interest or info on their age and value ? Edited September 1, 2014 by ekennell
elliot ness 1,916 #2 Posted September 1, 2014 Wow Ed, nice find. The snow blower is so unusual.
dodgemike 52 #3 Posted September 1, 2014 Neat! Modern Tool and Die had plants in NE Ohio at one time. I dont know if they sent all their work offshore or not. They private labeled a lot of equipment for Kmart, hardware chains etc. Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk 2
Ed Kennell 38,178 #4 Posted September 1, 2014 Yea man, I bet those Amish style all steel blower wheels would leave a neat pattern on a newly coated black driveway.
Geno 1,929 #5 Posted September 1, 2014 Looks pretty cool Ed , but too much of that and I'll have to come for your Wheel Horse man card...

AMC RULES 37,130 #8 Posted September 1, 2014 ...looks like that thing don't play...and it's Techy powered too?
Ed Kennell 38,178 #9 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) Hey Geno, I never got my WHM card. Where do I apply? At least your blower had rubber tires on the front Martin. This one has two steel disc wheels that look like baloney slicers. We're gonna find how high she blows Mike....If you and Craig volunteer to help me get the Techy purring....that is. She looks like one of those AP (all purpose) machines...snow blower, mulcher, cabbage chopper for sour krout, sausage maker, concrete mixer, etc. Edited September 1, 2014 by ekennell
N3PUY 1,031 #10 Posted September 1, 2014 I had an MTD Fifteen Hundred last year. It was green when I got it ... then it caught the red from the horses!

N3PUY 1,031 #13 Posted September 1, 2014 Niiiiccceee...I like it. What year and what engine? Got any idea what year mine is? I think mine was a 1973. The motor is a Briggs 15HP ... big heavy motor. The tractor was (oh... I sold it) also very heavy. Everything on it was cast or steel. The clutch was like that on a car ( pilot bushing, flywheel, clutch disc, release bearing and fork) Yours looks to be maybe earlier. I sold it to a guy that was going to use it for pulling a lawn cart and then pull at a local track. It wouldn't need any weights! Here's before pics.
Ed Kennell 38,178 #14 Posted September 1, 2014 I could see that auto style clutch an your earlier pic and puller is what I was thinking. You did a nice job on the redo.
N3PUY 1,031 #15 Posted September 1, 2014 Niiiiccceee...I like it. What year and what engine? Got any idea what year mine is? Yours is a 1969 model 660 (I think)
