mnWHfan 47 #1 Posted August 25, 2014 Guys, On my C175 Automatic, the handle that disengages the drive belt rattles a lot until the slot eventually gets worn almost to the point of breaking through the side. I even tried welding in the slot and just reaming a hole to just clear the bushing, which only raised the pitch of the rattle due to the shorter distance to hit the other side. It seems like it does not take much force to stop the rattle and I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this. If anyone has some suggestions that worked for them, please attach a photo. Thanks, Dennis

squonk 41,446 #5 Posted August 25, 2014 (edited) The pin wears thru and can round out the hole I cut off the worn out pin that has the cotter pin hole and made a new one. Drilled a bigger hole in it to accept a heavier cotter pin. Then used a wave washer on one side and a regular washer on the other to reduce the slop. And put in a heavier cotter pin Edited August 25, 2014 by squonk
