Wheelhorsestory 210 #4 Posted August 24, 2014 This is such a tragedy Neil. My prayers go out to his family and friends. Everyone involved in the hobby should use this as a lesson. Earlier this summer I witnessed a farm tractor roll over off a trailer onto the operator. Luckily, he survived. I would really love to see more rules implemented at the WHCC show. I have always felt that it is a matter of time before something bad happens. 1st, a fire extinguisher should be mandatory at each display. I would love to see one way traffic around the loop, and of course no speeding or passing. I always worry about tractor traffic at the snack bar area. Things can happen so suddenly and unexpectedly. It is easy to poo-poo my thoughts until someone, especially a child is hurt or even worst.
neil 2,409 #5 Posted August 24, 2014 I totally agree Michael, it would be a real shame to have a bad accident at the WHCC showm, but I kinda get the felling that it is just a matter of time before something is going to happen ., a few basic safety rules should be put in place & could save a lot of heartache . tunahead72 2,412 #6 Posted August 28, 2014 Just saw this thread today and read the article. Apparently this accident happened just north of Coatesville in southern Chester County PA, about 40 minutes from my house and just a mile or two from where my son lives. Don't know anything more right now (slow uncooperative computer), please somebody let us all know if you learn anything more. Be really careful with your tractors, guys, it's all too easy to make dangerous mistakes.

I'm right there with you Neil. I see too many people going too fast during the Friday night cruise.
