JimL 11 #1 Posted August 9, 2014 Somehow someone broke this years ago and "fixed" it. I finally got tired of the funky angle and decided to unfix it, then fix it right, or at least a little more right. Quick project before dinner, didn't even have to put shoes on.
stevasaurus 22,685 #2 Posted August 9, 2014 That looks fantastic. You can come over to my house and weld anytime...we don't wear shoes either...and can always have dinner.
Wishin4a416 2,191 #3 Posted August 9, 2014 (edited) Believe it or not, the lift arms on the early C's were angled. Fantastic work though! Edited August 9, 2014 by Wishin4a416
JimL 11 #4 Posted August 9, 2014 Really? It made it difficult to get on. Seems fine now that it is straight. Feels like my
Wishin4a416 2,191 #5 Posted August 9, 2014 Really? It made it difficult to get on. Seems fine now that it is straight. Feels like my 857 I agree Jim. It does make it hard to get on in the up position. This is how mine looks and all the early ones I have seen. Maybe yours was bent worse from a weld letting go. Catmanii 36 #6 Posted August 9, 2014 Looks really great to me. Heck of a welding job. I need to do some welding right now, but with the heat index in East Texas at 112.1, I'm just going to think about it instead of doing it till it cools off a little in possibly September or October or whenever. It is your tractor, and if you like it go with it! You know, I have a couple GT that have a "bent" lift handle too....maybe they are supposed to be that way! Don1977 604 #9 Posted August 11, 2014 The C-Series tractors have the angled lift handle. It should line up with the center of the steering wheel when up.
