99-LS1-SS 7 #1 Posted August 9, 2014 I keep meaning to ask but, I've forgotten until now. What is this pulley for on the back of the tractor? Try not to notice how dirty everything is. I haven't taken the rims off to clean stuff yet.
jeremi3210 717 #2 Posted August 9, 2014 I think that is for the early tillers.
CasualObserver 3,408 #3 Posted August 9, 2014 Yep. Mid to late 60s tiller bracket. After that the idler pulley was mounted on the tiller itself. Via Tapatalk 4
Racinbob 11,030 #4 Posted August 9, 2014 Ditto. That's the same bracket I had. That style tiller used a pulley assembly just in front of the tranny and required two belts. I converted mine to eliminate having to use the pulleys in front of the tranny as well as using only one belt. I did still use that bracket and idler.
