ricksrj58 273 #1 Posted August 5, 2014 just had a 1650 cub dropped off and it rolls very easy without the engine running.is there a release for the hydro so it will free wheel?
Desko 608 #2 Posted August 5, 2014 (edited) Yes my neighbor has a 1861 (don't know if there similar) but it should be on top or the side of the drive shaft tunnel cover and should be pushed all the way down. Hope this helps. Edited August 5, 2014 by Desko
diesel cowboy 263 #3 Posted August 5, 2014 Most of those had self reliving valves in the hydro. Some of the earliest ones of that series and older had a small chrome handle coming out of the right hand side of the tunnel cover just in front of the seat. If it had the handle coming out the side and it rolls freely with the engine off it either had the old style manual valves and the lever was pulled and they stuck released or they've been replaced with the newer style and the handle wasn't removed.
