68 Lawn Ranger Resto - Belt guard question

In the midst of my LR reston and I have come upon an issue - the top of the tensioner pulley is just touching the top of the belt guard cover. Granted I repowered the LR and this changed the position of the pulley relative to the guard. On original LR's how much clearance is there between the guard and the top of the pulley tensioner assy? Any estimates? Thanks! Dave

Not much maybe a 1/2" but it sounds like you need a shorter belt
