That tranny laying on the trailer was only used (as far as I know) on the Commando 800 which had a Briggs 8hp gen start motor originally. Mike........... But I would have to say that the engine or hood is not original also because the engine dosnt fit in the cutout in the hood No key and it would need a lot of carb help it was left out for a while without an air filter Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

However, I don't think that's a Commando 800 transmission. I've had two and that is not like any I've seen. Both my Commandos had Kohler 8 horse with starters. Catmanii 36 #11 Posted August 3, 2014 As it was free, the first thing I would do is see if I could get it to run. How and if it run would determan if I put it back togather or used for parts.
