Torino 14 #1 Posted July 16, 2014 (edited) My parking brake lever on my auto c-175 rattles a lot. I can hear it over the engine and the mower. What is the best way to stop this? Edited July 16, 2014 by Torino
rmaynard 15,419 #2 Posted July 16, 2014 What model? If you are referring to an automatic like my C-120, the oval center hole wears and causes a lot of slop. Finding a new or good used one with a good oval hole fixed my problem.

daveoman1966 3,745 #4 Posted July 16, 2014 I have (had) the same issue with my Bronco 14. It is REALLY annoying. After some parts bin digging, I found a long thin spring that hooks neatly to the park brake lever and the other end to the hoodstand. The spring should have a long stem on both ends. It doesn't need to be big and heavy...just enough to stop the lever from rattling around to preclude insanity.
