ssecoy 0 #9 Posted July 14, 2014 I've seen a 416-H online and looked like an exact match but I'm just not sure Ill upload pics of everything later.. I plan on restoring it, It needs a coil and a new mower deck then it would be complete. Is this one worth restoring?
C-101plowerpower 1,605 #10 Posted July 14, 2014 depends on how the overall state of the machine is, coil could be expensive being a 2 cilinder onan, but then again i don't own one so it's kinda hard to say Koen
ssecoy 0 #11 Posted July 14, 2014 A friend told me that a dual fire harley coil would work as long as it is between 2.9 ohm and 3.6ohm. It looks the same but would anyone know if this is true. If so this coil is only $36 on Amazon but again I'm not sure if it will work
Brrly1 1,146 #12 Posted July 14, 2014 I think that only pertains to the Kohlers, I may be wrong.
boovuc 1,090 #13 Posted July 14, 2014 I know it pertains to the old Kohler KT engines. I don't know if it would work for the Onans.
ericj 1,578 #14 Posted July 14, 2014 down load the onan service manual on here and it will walk you through step by step how to trouble shoot your onan and make sure you only replace what you need to or want to because parts are not cheap. try onan parts.com for parts good luck and keep us updated eric j
ssecoy 0 #15 Posted July 15, 2014 Its a 416-H! I overlooked the writing on the sticker on the hood.. now as far as year I'm guessing 1990 only because I seen one on CL that looked the same. How does the rear end work on this? My first hydrostatic
Desko 608 #16 Posted July 15, 2014 Its an Eaton 11 pump they work by pressurized oil. Great score needs some TLC but will turn out great!
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,026 #17 Posted July 15, 2014 It may be a 1996 416-H model 73423 Serial 6900001-6999999 Garry
ericj 1,578 #18 Posted July 16, 2014 it's a 1990 416-H the 1990 416 kept the same MCL controls as the 88, 89 hydros were as the 520's were moved to the steering column in 91 the 416's were also moved to the column good luck eric j
