What model and year is my wheelhorse?

Recommended Posts

I recently picked up an older wheelhorse with a 16hp onan but can not locate the serial or model#??? I'm assuming the sticker is gone. Can anyone help me figure out the year and model?

I will have to wait untill I get off tonight to upload pics but I just throw it out there and see what yall said. It is hydrostatic and has a levet for "lift". I'm sorta new to wheelhorse so that's all I know for now but will update with pics in a few. Thanks for the replies

I've seen a 416-H online and looked like an exact match but I'm just not sure

Ill upload pics of everything later.. I plan on restoring it, It needs a coil and a new mower deck then it would be complete. Is this one worth restoring?

depends on how the overall state of the machine is, coil could be expensive being a 2 cilinder onan, but then again i don't own one so it's kinda hard to say

A friend told me that a dual fire harley coil would work as long as it is between 2.9 ohm and 3.6ohm. It looks the same but would anyone know if this is true. If so this coil is only $36 on Amazon but again I'm not sure if it will work

I think that only pertains to the Kohlers, I may be wrong.

I know it pertains to the old Kohler KT engines.

I don't know if it would work for the Onans.

down load the onan service manual on here and it will walk you through step by step how to trouble shoot your onan and make sure you only replace what you need to or want to because parts are not cheap. try onan parts.com for parts good luck and keep us updated

Its a 416-H! I overlooked the writing on the sticker on the hood.. now as far as year I'm guessing 1990 only because I seen one on CL that looked the same.post-13502-140542460533_thumb.jpgpost-13502-140542463516_thumb.jpg
