Mulching blades for 37 Side Discharge

Recommended Posts

sluggo

I have a 1992 310-8 that mows well, but would like to mulch grass and leaves. I don't intend to convert the deck to a full mulcher, I would just like to make the grass that shoot out of the discharge be little finer.

I  think that   I need 2 blades that are 18 3/4 ' with 3/4' hole, but it does not appear that GB makes this size.

Does anyone know the part number for Gator Blades for 37 Side Discharge?

If not gator blades should I look at another brand of mulching blades that anyone has had good luck with?

Thanks

I also did a complete search for a 18 3/4 blade and the only one is for your wh. If you look in the tractor section under gator blades you

will see GlenPettit's way of using a smaller blade. I found several smaller gator blades at this site.

  I found 18 5/8 and 18 1/2

I would make sure that you have enough theads on the spindles that can hold two blades in a crisscross. You can take your two blades

and put them on a spindle just to  see if it would work. Hope sum of this info helps.

Thank you for looking that up. I will probably use the double blade and make sure that the blade fit securely onto the spindle. I sure dont want a blade flying off.

Look up Gator blade # 96803 it's 18 3/4", you'll have to enlarge the hole from 5/8" to 3/4".
