Fiberglass Seat Pan (NOT FENDER) Rare??? Odd???

Recommended Posts

Docwheelhorse

Hello All,

Im going about this at a different angle....

Sparky pointed out this seat pan this afternoon on my 16 Automatic, he suggested I pull it before it gets wrecked as he thought it was a one year only special deal.

Pics are in other post (sorry), so is it worth something or do I have .02 worth of fiberglass scrap....

Tony

Maybe I'm mistaken but I thought one year of the GT-14's came with a fiberglass seat-pan.......can anyone confirm or deny? My fragile reputation is on the line here   .

They came on 69 GT14's and most all Long frame tractors in 69. and one very close to this was used on the 867

So is the pan itself worth anything with the cover and foam missing???? :eusa-think:

My guess is probably not. If they are let me know because I just pitched two seats. Good luck

My 875 has had a fiberglass seat pan on it. It could have been a replacement,  but everything else seems to be original.

Yes you are crazy..... yes there where fiberglass pan seats and it certainly looks like they aint worth much even complete.... that sound you hear later will be a fiberglass seat pan flying outta my yard and hitting the side of your house.....

WOW! Obviously they were not just the pans correct? Must have been complete seats with padding and cover.

I have offered to buy complete tractor and to give the owner back the tractor with another seat  Just to get a perfect one for Marylou's redone 69 GT14.

I'd trade a perfect two piece any day for one if someone has one

wondering I know a guy does fiberglass work. what about making a remanufactured one would be acceptable since they're so rare and hard to find.

The fiberglass part is easy to find, finding one with the cover/padding in nice shape is the hard part, I have throw away the fiberglass pans.
