Hammerhead 817 #1 Posted May 27, 2014 Well the geeker that wanted to trade a pile of my yard sale stuff for his 416H tractor showed up with it on Sunday! It was actually a 516H for crikey sakes! Has the original 2 cylinder Onan engine on it! It is missing some parts like the ignition switch, throttle cable and some engine tins. I will need a manual to figure out the wiring. I traded a nice Toro push mower, a #50 JD dump cart and a junky Cub Model 80 for it! Not a bad trade deal for sure! I will clean it up and it will look even better! Why is it every time I sell a few tractors, even more show up soon after? How's it look guys? KJ

546cowboy 301 #4 Posted May 27, 2014 I probably have at least 3 sets of Onan sheet metal but you're a long way from me. I sold a 516H about 3 or 4 years ago. I mowed with it for 4 or 5 years and never had a problem. Another thing about a 516, there is no hour meter so you don't worry that it has a lot of hours, you just keep on mow'n. Tankman 3,518 #5 Posted May 27, 2014 You made out like a bandit! Wiring diagrams are easy 'nough to find. Good luck with your restoration and, be absolutely sure to post updates. We want must are eager to follow your progress! Good for you!
varosd 1,185 #6 Posted May 27, 2014 looks good! How many hours? you will need the engine tins to bring cooling air across the heads. gotta keep that back cylinder nice and cool!
Hammerhead 817 #7 Posted May 27, 2014 Thanks alot guys! I washed off the 516H today. It looks really good now! I probably have at least 3 sets of Onan sheet metal but you're a long way from me. Hey cowboy, I could send you some money through Paypal or a money order if you wanted to box up the tins and mail them to me? No problem if not, I could check on ebayville. How much is a set for the Onan? Thank You...Keith
