Me and dad went for go with his SMS-425 mower yesterday, first proper go with it because we really need some proper hay grass, but thought we would try it on the buttercups. We were surprised how well it cuts proper leafy grass although its bad to see on the video. The tractor performed well and the mower gearbox is now oil tight after replacing the oil seals, the seals had dried out after all these years and due to the mower had never cut grass in anger before. ih674 10 #9 Posted May 26, 2014 Agree with the comments about the grass sticking, there is a bar at the end to make the grass fall towards the tractor rather that into the uncut grass, I think with proper hay grass this would be less of an issue, when our field is ready to mow for hay we are hoping to have a go with it so ill try to do another video.
