Mikez655 6 #1 Posted May 26, 2014 Hey guys I'm having trouble with my parking brake. I can't get it to engage. I'm only able to push the brake so far and it's not enough to push the lever over the brake band. Anyone got pictures of how the parking brake is supposed to be set up? wallfish 16,981 #2 Posted May 26, 2014 Loosen the nut on the rod that pulls the brake band until you can engage the parking brake lever. If the pedal travels too far forward after you make that adjustment, you can adjust the trunion on the rod that connects the pedal to the lever to bring it back into the correct position. You may have to play around with all of the adjustments to find the "sweet spot" which allows enough tension on the drive belt, the pedal is in a comfortable position, the brake band and the parking brake engage correctly.
