I'd assume the arms and the top link would be the eassiest part. The rest of the hitch not so easy...

The 3pt arms shouldn't be that bad to fab up if you could get the dimensions and some pictures to work from. You might even be able to modify arms from something else to work on the big D.

Don't know if you made your 3pt hitch for your 250 yet, But I made mine from a cat-0 hitch I bought at TSC.... works great

I was consipating this very thought while at Rural King today....

I went to the 3pt. arm aisle.... There was flat stock about the

same length as the arms.... with holes at each end. Nor sure

but looked like you could mount the pivot balls at each end.

But would take something special. Also the flat stock could

be bent and shortened if needed.

What do the D250 3pt arms look like? I have pictures of the tractor but cant find any of the 3pt area. Are the 250 lift arms fairly straight or would they need bends similar to the smaller Ds lift arms?

I would assume less than 40 or so inches of 1/2" x 2" steel and 4 weld on ball sockets would do it. Think I paid around $5 each for the ball sockets at a local place.

I have a brochure from '76 with the d-250 in it. If you looked at the 3pt arms they were like the gutbrods- ARROW STRAIGHT not bent. So you could have straight arms and use a rototiller but if you had a weight box, I think you might have to bend them.

I must have missed the link to the 3pt picture. Kind of surprising they dont have a ball socket, just a hole drilled for the attachment pins.

The picture does show some pretty good bends in the arms. Thats something I hate doing in thick steel. If your the same way I bet you could just make a pattern from thinner material then have a welding shop build them at a fair price. Maybe also adding ball sockets as an improvement.

The early ones were straight. The main components you need are the arms, lift rods to go from the rock shaft to lift, and top link mount.
