Spending lots of time there, so the horse is taking a back seat. I did finish up the exhaust, so I thought I would share a peek!! rtfbg 744 #135 Posted January 18, 2015 Hey ... all younze K532 guys ... here's a little carb tidbit ... that you probably all ready know, but I just found out!! lol If you look on the parts sheet for the carb, it shows the nut that holds on the float bowl, as part number 25-041-02. But if you order that, all you get is the gasket!! It took my local Kohler parts geek 2 weeks to find someone at Kohler with the correct part number ... 47-100-06-S, which as you can see, come as the correct nut, WITH gasket!!
rtfbg 744 #136 Posted January 22, 2015 Well, Dad's doing great, going to thecan on his own, feeding himself just fine, dressing himself, the whole ball of wax. Should be ready to escape the rehab center in a few days!! I hope to have the beast ready for a start up once he gets out. Any way, here are a few sneak peeks at some goodies!! Getting ready to finish engine wiring ... Just love this little gem!! It;s whats up front that counts!!

rtfbg 744 #141 Posted January 24, 2015 So I just couldn't bring myself to put that ugly Rural King battery in the horse, so I made a cool decal to cover it ... trouble is, you can't see even an edge of it!! grrr Had to do something with the front of the battery box ... looks cool, if it will stand the heat!!
rtfbg 744 #142 Posted March 6, 2015 Sorry to say that Dad passed this week. He was a great guy, a Navy vet, making 52 trips across the Pacific, and 16 trips across the Atlantic as a Damage Controlman on the General George Randall, a troop ship hauling Korean War soldiers. He and Mom were married 61 years. Dang, thats a long time!!! He raised two of us rotten kids, which was also a feat!!! I'm sad for a thousand reasons, one of which is that he will not see this horse finished. He did visit the construction zone in the beginning of December, and just shook his head!! He liked it!! Anyway, I did manage to keep my head clear by working on a little project, the front winch. Came out pretty cool!!

Spareparts 84 #150 Posted March 8, 2015 Every time I get on here I check out your thread, nice project you have going on. Sorry to hear about your Dad, thanks to the Veterans like your Dad we have all the freedoms we have today. Projects like yours, mine, and just about every one here is our sanctuary, a place we go when things get tough. We may not get much done but it seems to clear our mine and keeps our sanity. Put one foot in front of the other and keep moving and time will help with your loss, again sorry for your loss.
