leeave96 487 #28 Posted June 23, 2014 Tractor looks GREAT!!!!!! Just curious - why did you go with the Toro Wheelhorse logo vs some variant of a Wheelhorse only logo? In no way am I criticizing - it looks GREAT. I've gone from one extreme - hating the Toro logo, to appreciating their efforts in keeping the Wheelhorse design around for a bunch of years - basically unmolested, except for the Toro logo - LOL. I kind of feel the Toro logo tells part of the Wheelhorse story now. Were you looking for originality - again, just curious. Nice job on the tractor!!!!! AND the foot control is GREAT!!!!!! I've got it on two of my 520H tractors. Thanks! Bill
Racinbob 11,030 #29 Posted June 23, 2014 Looks great with the 'grill' painted black, black wheels, hubcaps and the new decals.
PaulC 341 #30 Posted June 23, 2014 Thanks for more support and compliments, I really do love my wheel horses and am so glad I finally decided to redo this one. I was on this site always seeing the sweet tractors a lot of you other gents have and often left jealous on how sweet a lot of them look. I knew both of mine had that potential and glad to see this one finally there. I could totally see paying in the 2-3K range for these machines brand new, wheel horse really had them looking like hot rods to which I think mine does again now. I was planning to sell my 312-A (currently on local CL) but have since decided to keep it, its worth way more to me then anyone else is willing to pay and I actually starting thinking maybe ill put in the time and get that one cleaned up and have TWO sweet looking horses!!! Bill you actually just made me realize Terry switched things up on me? Page 1 of this thread has a picture I posted of the decals right from Terrys site. I told him I wanted them just how they are except saying 312-H, so they would've had the old school wheel horse logo there but I am actually kind of happy about it now. Its very close to original but instead of saying wheel horse classic towards the front its says wheel horse 312-H which I like better, I always liked how the model number was displayed nicely right up in the front. I wanted to be close to original with my own personal touches on it (flat black wheels) and this now fits right in with that. I agree with the Toro logo being apart of the story and history so I really am pretty glad it worked out this way. And yes the foot pedals are a MUST HAVE!! I considered it for a year or so before, before I even decided to redo this tractor, but was leary about spending the 200 bucks on it. Boy I am so glad I did it adds so much comfort and control that its worth every penny. I have only mowed with it which is great but I see the real added benefit when I get to snowblowing having both hands freed up .
PaulC 341 #31 Posted July 16, 2014 Here are a few recent pics. Ive had the chrome guard back on the muffler for a few weeks now but never stopped for pictures. Im glad I finally got a few of her out in the yard especially right after she made it look all nice. I have been cutting lately with both my 312-H and my 312-A with 42" rear and side discharge and they both do a really great job. My wife thinks im nuts because I want to mow every 3 or 4 days because it looks so good when im done .

cleat 5,771 #34 Posted July 17, 2014 I see you have a custom hitch on the rear. Looks good. Cleat
PaulC 341 #35 Posted July 17, 2014 Thanks for the compliments. And yes cleat I have a 3 place snowmobile trailer and a somewhat tight backyard so where I like to park it is tough to get in with the truck. Nice and easy to move empty and now nice and easy to move loaded. Pretty cool looking when I have a fully loaded sled trailer being pulled by my wheel horse :-)
