Pretty much, you ride around in a shower of clippings raining down all over the front of the tractor. Actually, it's really a lot of fun...unfortunately, I just don't have the yard for it here, too many embankments. Really cool implement though. squonk 41,010 #12 Posted May 4, 2014 For a perfect cut, reels need a lot of maintenance. Sharpening them is an art and you have to keep them constantly adjusted. At least the pro models you do. Not sure of the Horse ones. Brings me back to my days on the golf course pulling the six gang behind the Jake! I'm really impressed!! squonk 41,010 #16 Posted May 4, 2014 Sounds like the cross shaft is moving back and forth causing the gears to bang together. I had the same problem with my 704 deck and went thru 3 other decks to get a decent one. The bearings in the stands start to go and spin on the shaft and ruin it.
