diggerjames 64 #1 Posted April 28, 2014 Hi all a friend of mine has told me about a wheel horse in a yard near me and said it has a two cylinder engine on , which the owner has removed to clean . The only information he gave me was the size of the tyres which are 23x9.50x12 . So tomorrow I'm going to have a look at it and make him an offer on it , pics to follow . Martin 2,131 #5 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) i would think with that tire size (if original) it could be a 400 series twin or maybe a c series twin. not sure about the briggs workhorses, but the briggs 18 hp twins used the wider (23 x 10.50-12 inch) wheels/tires. Stigian 1,234 #20 Posted May 11, 2014 Just caught up with this... Looks like you have your work cut out for you James.. Do you know why your Wh was dismantled and left for dead in the yard?
diggerjames 64 #21 Posted May 11, 2014 Hi Ian it was an abandoned project . Most bits are there apart from engine cowling etc Cheers James
boovuc 1,090 #22 Posted May 11, 2014 That looked like it may have been a Series II KT17 you have. If so and if it was running decent, that is a major success story regardless if you abandoned the project!
