Charlie Smith 142 #1 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) Hello All, As most of you would have seen, I've just finished my most recent project, (4 wheeled cart) the thread can be seen in the Euro non tractor related forum. I'm now making more room for the project that will arrive this Saturday, a wheel horse 'lawn ranger' do any of you UK guys have a lawn ranger? Is there anything I should be careful of? Are they a good little tractor? Also do any of you UK guys have any parts for a lawn ranger ? Edited April 28, 2014 by Charlie Smith

groundhog47 347 #5 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) Do you plan a restoration show model or just a tractor. On L-156 changed rear hubs to 5 lug, and 12" wheels, fender pan, and front spindles to accommodate 8" wheels, stands up whinning proud! Now will have to fab a deck mount to lower cut height. In progress to rebuild 8spd for it. Also plan a mid mount quick attach if a mid mount blade will fit....plans/dreams. Specialwheelhorse, Jim gave me a rebuilt engine for it and refurbed the deck blade drive mechanism. Jake Kuhn supplied an engine pulley. If I could just get TIME to throw in his share Edited April 28, 2014 by groundhog47
neil 2,409 #6 Posted April 28, 2014 Paul Mackellow has a fine looking restored Lawn ranger which was carried out by Chris Sutton . If its the one i am thinking it is Charlie , it looks like the hood need some work , the rest looks ok & the round hood lawn rangers are pretty easy to work on ,
Stigian 1,234 #7 Posted April 30, 2014 It is the one your thinking of Neil, the hood has been butchered quite a bit!
Charlie Smith 142 #8 Posted April 30, 2014 Indeed, It's the one you're thinking of, the hood has been a fair bit neglected apart from that, should be a nice slow and steady restoration,
