Wheel Color?

Recommended Posts

What color does everyone use for their wheels? The original is not really white, but it looks like a lot of the restorations use plain white. Looking for your thoughts.

deciding on the "correct" wheel/tractor/engine paint etc is a personal choice...there are no paint police!!

I use to use Rustoleum Canvas White but I have recently switched to Antique White!  Seems very close to the early 1960's  wheel paint color.

I used Allis-Chalmers Cream. It matched the inside of my 704 wheels exactly

I am taking the wheels tomorrow to have them sandblasted and powder coated. I'm not sure what colors they will have available. Looks like I should be shooting for an antique white or cream color. Thanks for all the help.

if you are getting them powder coated, ask them if they have RAL1013 'oyster white', available from many different manufacturers. We use IFS powder coatings at work.

and another one where i put the wide wheels on the c125. all my builds with the early off white wheels are this color......
