Smyser 0 #1 Posted April 9, 2014 Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows what might be causing a problem I have. Every time I move the rear or mid lift the tractor wants to lurch backwards. Oddly I have a JD317 that does the exact same thing. This is not only irritating but a safety hazard. I've also noticed that while driving it will suddenly slow down, speed up, or stop until I nudge the handle forward a little more. And as I mentioned the jd317 exhibits these exact same traits. Any help or comments would be appreciated because now I have two tractors I hate instead of just one. Thank you. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
daveoman1966 3,762 #2 Posted April 9, 2014 Have you changed the OEM filter? Not usre of the JD, but here is a schematic of the D-200. Be suspect of the items arond / with part #17 which is a friction washer. This is a FRICTION WASHER and, as such, should be kept dry, no oil. Be also suspect of the action of the CAM(12) and other closely associated parts (9)..things wear out over time. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
