meadowfield 2,619 #2 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) is it a commando 800 or B-80? I'd badge as B-80 - just because that's what it's badged as and these are more rare in Europe. both are the same model, but Amnor just felt free to badge them randomly It's a 1974 vintage with Kohler K181 8hp engine... Racinbob 11,370 #3 Posted April 8, 2014 If I'm reading that model # right isn't a 1-0141 a 75 B-80, not a Commando 800. Here's a Commando (I think 72) I restored for my grandson. It has many items from a 76 B-80.

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,148 #6 Posted April 8, 2014 A couple of 1-0141 Commando 800 4-speeds have previously surfaced with serial numbers 145698 and 145833. Curious to know what this one is. Garry
diggerjames 64 #7 Posted April 8, 2014 There's an old decal on it and it says commando 800 on the side , I haven't had the engine running in years but when it ran it ran sweet!

wheeledhorseman 575 #10 Posted April 9, 2014 I think what you have there James is a 1975 model tractor which was badged B-80 in the US but Commando 800 by Amnor for the Euro market. Wheel Horse also stuck with badging the 1975 C-100 model as Raider 10s when assembled in Europe by Amnor. Possibly this was a way of using up the overstock of decals from South Bend or because it was considered that the Euro market would be more conservative about accepting new naming system is difficult to say but it's why there's very few B-80s about. Will be publishing the list of Amnor models and serials soon - watch this space! BTW could you confirm the serial number please James as it's hard to read with 100% accuracy from the photo. Thanks Andy
Racinbob 11,370 #11 Posted April 9, 2014 It will be interesting to see that Andy. Years ago I toured the South Bend Wheel Horse factory and there were models intended for the Europe market. There were quite a few variations. Same thing when I went through the Studebaker museum when I saw all the tractors before they had put any on display. This is the first time I've heard of Amnor and I'll be watching this.
Racinbob 11,370 #12 Posted April 9, 2014 I think this link will work. http://www.wheelhorse.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1409&start=0 Another Commando 800 B80 style with Amnor tags. The Commando in my picture has 6" front rims and had 10" rear. I put the 22-7.50 12's from a B80 on it.

C-101plowerpower 1,606 #15 Posted April 12, 2014 the engine looks kinda grey, could be a kohler service engine as it's the same kind of gray my engine has under the red over spray? Koen
