Ed Kennell 40,465 #26 Posted April 8, 2014 If you have a rock shaft, the chain between the rock shaft and hitch can be used to make height adjustments. My C-101 has the rock shaft with this arrangement, but the 520H and the C-160 do not. The other part of the clevis hitch that you will need is the pressure plate that is used to lock the implement and hitch together to prevent side movement. My hitch was missing this part, so I made one out of a piece of 1/4X2 bar and a large washer. The clevis on the Allis Chalmers Worker set shown in this pic is not deep enough to use the pressure plate, but all Brinleys should be deep enough. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
6wheeler 662 #27 Posted April 9, 2014 PM Kelly. He probably has a clevis hitch. You will also need a rockshaft. I hate to say it but, get the proper cable from Toro. I made a couple but, they never worked as good as the original. If you get the rockshaft you can get the bushings from ACE hardware. Not specifically for your machine but, the 3/4" brass bushings they have just need to be ground down a bit on length to make em' fit. Also, careful on the front end weights. After loading up the C-120 with 100# pounds of front weight? I found out too late that the spindles couldn't handle it. OOPS. Happy plowing. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

dandan111 31 #32 Posted April 14, 2014 You have to take the fenders and gas tank off to get to it. If I remember right it goes all the way across the gas tank/fender bracket and the shaft fits in a hole on each side with a bushing.--- A cable from the lift arm goes through a tube(that you probly don't have) to the rock shaft. The rock shaft has a ear with a chain on it ,you can see in my second picture that goes down to the hitch. I searched myself for used a little before I bought mine new. Lots of bits and pieces. Main things you need are that rock shaft,hitch and a tube for that cable. I might have my instructions. Not sure where though. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Does anyone know where to find a diagram with all the parts for the kit. I want to make sure when he is tearing it down to get all the parts. Butch 194 #40 Posted April 29, 2014 The clevis hitch is great. If I ever sell the tractor the hitch WON'T be going with it. The large horseshoe part of the hitch has gone for almost $200 on Ebay. Then you need the rest of the parts. The cable alone is $40. I happened to buy an extra one when I bought the hitch. But the members on this site sure are good at coming up with ways to make things work. Brian in NY just blows me away with his talent. Let us know how you make out with the hitch.
