Ken B 3,164 #1 Posted April 5, 2014 I'll be using my 417-8. She has just under 2000 hrs. on the clock but still runs plenty strong! I'm looking forward to the seat time. Pushing snow is okay but I'd much rather be cuttin grass....

varosd 1,185 #5 Posted April 5, 2014 (edited) I gonna freshen up the Workhorse's tin (gotta try to fix the **** "Richard" Tracy nose on the hood) and try it out this Summer. Try to spread the "hours" around. Edited April 5, 2014 by varosd
ericj 1,578 #6 Posted April 5, 2014 i will mainly be using either a 416-H with an onan or a 416-8 with what else but an onan at my house and then use either a 312-A with a kohler mag on it or a 310-8 with a 12hp k series kohler at my wife's grandma place. haven't decided which one i'll take up yet. eric j
Wheel-N-It 2,968 #7 Posted April 5, 2014 417-Auto for me on the big smooth stuff Ken! 416-8 on the rough and hilly stuff. 312-8 for when I want to give some love to my first Wheel Horse
JC 1965 1,530 #8 Posted April 5, 2014 I use a 312-8 with 42" side discharge but I have an old Raider 12 with a transplanted 14 HP mag for a backup.
doc724 925 #9 Posted April 5, 2014 When I cut, I will use the 520xi with a 48 inch deck. When my wife cuts, she will use her 314 with a 42 inch deck. Hopefully, each machine will get equal exercise!
JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,497 #11 Posted April 5, 2014 I will be using the 416-8 and the 522xi. Never cut any grass yet with either of them, but the 416-8 was great on snow duty this year. Glenn
cheesegrader 433 #12 Posted April 5, 2014 I got 14" of snow last night. There won't be any grass this year. I'm going to hibernate under a deep snowpile, and dream of using my '91 520 with the 60" deck in 2015. Good thing I did't take the snowthrower off yet.

Kelly 1,029 #16 Posted April 5, 2014 same thing I have been using for a few years a 246H with 42" deck, but I may put the 48" I picked up on it this year, don't look this nice any more but still does the job, not bad for $150

Pushing snow is okay but I'd much rather be cuttin grass.... I'll be using the Ariens Z/T for my personal space , but If I can strike a deal with the owner of the property we drop our wheelers at , I'll be using the W/H on that 8 acres . Desko 608 #19 Posted April 5, 2014 I will use my dads D-160 with the 48" deck that I just fixed (tractor) and for the heavier stuff I will use the John Deere 455 with around 2800 hours with the large 60" deck. TWIN ONAN 3 CYL YANMAR DIESEL

hm12460 53 #23 Posted April 5, 2014 The mighty Commando 800 of course!
semperfi8185 56 #24 Posted April 5, 2014 The mighty 108-5 30" deck and 12hp B&S I/C. Man that 30" mows sweet. If I get the 264-6 running right, I might have to give the 48" deck a try on the side yard until I install a wider gate to get into the backyard. Seller Fi! papaglide 542 #25 Posted April 5, 2014 I had huge plans on using the 417-A with a 48" deck UNTIL the governor gear broke..........now I will have to use my CC1864 with 54" deck. It's very similar to the xi series but without the hi- lo range. (I was going to sell that!). GGRRRR. The 416-8( with a 20 horse Onan) will be the back up and trimmer.
