formariz 11,988 #1 Posted March 27, 2014 So late last year started browsing Craigslist in my area and before i realized what the heck I was doing, in a period of one month I acquired a 654, a 633,a 502, and 58/59RJ. Only when i had to put the RJ in my son's garage for lack of space did I realize it was getting out of hand. But since another grandson has arrived I just used the excuse that every boy has to have a tractor. All bodies are in very good shape virtually all parts present, all tires good, but none ran . So in the last month in the evenings started with the 633. Took all apart, cleaned repaired and lubed everything. Tecumseh engine was in pieces with ignition missing but seller threw in with deal a K181S fro a gravely tractor. Had to replace pan on it since oil drain was on bottom, cleaned carburater , replaced leaking head gasket, flattened head, new head bolts, pump was shot so I replaced it with an electric one, new coil, new smaller battery to allow for starter, new cables, new switches, new solenoid, new alternator, fabricated missing side cover, fabricated new bracket for belt guard, replaced all seals. And of course every tractor here must have lights. Started on very first crank . Will post more pics as i assemble it.

formariz 11,988 #6 Posted April 3, 2014 So the 633 is now finished. I only need to get a set of decals. It runs really well. Had to squeeze a lot of stuff under that hood! Just cleaned and oiled all sheet metal but painted wheels and seat since they were a nasty white and just did not look right.Steering is precise and smooth probably the best of all tractors here. Transmission works great but different from all others of same type.Very slow first gear and not too much faster second gear. Third gear however is really fast. Had to fabricate a few things like side guard and new bracket for hood since it was broken off. I dont weld so its metal epoxy and screws. Once epoxy is cured I grind screw heads and tails down and that acts like a spot weld also. This one will be for the recent born Grandson (2 months). That boy is growing fast so I cannot waist any time. Next in line will be the 654.
