wessex horse 15 #1 Posted March 17, 2014 Marshfield suggested I introduce myself on here so blame him. I have a Raider 10 circa 1973 as far as I can make out, a lucky buy off ebay last year, it was 25 years neglected in a barn on a really ratty chicken farm, looked awful but cleaned up fine and seems to have had little use. New agri tyres and some TLC shes working like a Wheel Horse. lugging timbe rout my wood, a lot more suitable in confined space than my Ferguson TED 20 Had a little problem with the pin in the gear lever ball falling out, but am sorting that. Now need to hone my welding skills for the cutting deck. I would love to find a snow plough a an affordable price, I need to move a lot of mud, or any towable horse attachments. Having worked with wheel horse tractors before I retired I looked for a good one for some time. loving this one, its better than the ones I used before. I am in Wiltshire, between Marlborough and Salisbury, a source of spares nearby would be handy.

wheeledhorseman 574 #4 Posted March 17, 2014 to RS - great bunch of guys here from both sides of the big pond. You've come to the right place! I'm not far away - I live in Romsey but my horses are at Nomansland in Wiltshire, if you have any time to spare feel free to pop over, see the herd, talk horses, and try some of mine out. I'm working on a post about serial numbers at present, the model number and serial of your Raider 10 would be useful if you could post it here or send me a message (pm). wessex horse 15 #12 Posted March 18, 2014 (edited) thanks for the welcome chaps, apology to Meadow field, late night, plus late wine. I will post some pics and details by the weekend. yes I know Bob Lewis, not very far from me; I bought a steering shaft from him, reasonable enough prices compared to shipping from the States. I have seen wheelhorse blokes projects on u tube, impressive stuff, I think I shall hide my welding from you............ neil 2,409 #13 Posted March 18, 2014 your welding cant be any worse than mine . i welded an old mower deck once & i melted the throttle & choke cable together , ruined the mower LoL
