6wheeler 598 #27 Posted March 13, 2014 Get outta town. It was 45 degrees ABOVE zero here today. Ma even let the chickens out( they are probly wondering what that big yellow thing is in the sky). Snow went down a lot. Whats next FLOODING. Oh well, it was warm. I talked to one of the operators for a large excavating company this morning. He said he is seeing frost down close to 8'(yes, he said "FEET") in many places. Not good. But after 45+ days and nights well below zero, I suppose that would happen. Maybe, just maybe. It was cold enough, long enough, to freeze those dang mosquito's. Oh well, I live on a hill. Let it melt. I'll take warm.

Gunny 240 #35 Posted March 29, 2014 We don't call it Spring down here until the Pecan trees start budding out. Not Spring yet! But I did mow about 3 acres already.
boovuc 1,090 #36 Posted March 30, 2014 Those pics that Kato posted really make me glad I live closer to the equator. Two weeks from our trout season opener here in Pa. That is when I know it is Spring!
