Anglo Traction 761 #1 Posted March 3, 2014 I'm sure many are impressed with the capabilities of machines like Wood Shredders, Chippers and Stump Grinders, here we have one that chews up and spits out Cars and Engines with relative ease. ........................And it's Red- http://devour.com/video/car-grinder/

baerpath 517 #7 Posted March 5, 2014 Best shredder I've seen was at the port in Boston. I delivered to the power station, next door to the shredder. I watched them push a burned up D9 Cat dozer into one after they cut the blade off and the tracks. All of it was just pushed in took about 20 minutes to shred it go up the belt onto the ship, They were dropping whole cars into it
Sparky-(Admin) 21,296 #8 Posted March 8, 2014 Apparently they dont care about separating glass, rubber, aluminum, steel etc... Awesome power right there! Mike.........
Operator 7 #9 Posted March 9, 2014 A majority of the "fluff" is separated out after the shredder is done, and then the fluff can be refined too to clean out aluminum and steel that can be reused. I've hauled in and out of these shredders and they are amazing machines! And occasionally something gets run through that shouldn't like gas tanks with fuel or a hand granade [ that happened up here at a St Paul yard] propane tanks . The crushers are an impact style that have huge "hammers" that beat the crap at high speed.
