Lookie what I won for $55 on a local online auction site over in Grand Rapids.... :happy-jumpeveryone:

Can't tell if the dark spots are rusted through or just wet but the rest looks in great shape.  I can't wait to go pick it up tomorrow. :greetings-clappingyellow::dance:

Nice score Kerry.  Looks in good shape.  My son is supposed to be watching that auction site for me. Guess I'll just have to do it myself.

Nice score. I have one also and used it more then I thought I would. I never did get the dumping action to work by backing up though. It would never grab as described in the owners manual. When my tractor is back together I plan on doing the trailer to match. They are handy little buggers.

How do you determine what year it was produced?    :scratchead:

I got a decent one for a Franklin. Just needed a good scuffing and a repaint. I did the inside with Rhino Liner. It's too nice to really use. so I only use it at a show and then put a drop cloth or blanket in it. I got  a bigger cart to do work with

Great score! Reminds me of a TV show, "The Price is Right". I would've leaped on that one too!

Follow up the post after you pickup the tub. Rust? Wet? Holes? Regardless certainly repairable! Good luck you won't need, you already have it!  :)

Well Saturday morning me and the boy piled into the Ford Lawn Ranger for the drive to Grand Rapids to pick up the trailer.  Paid and got her loaded took a few pictures for posterity.  Then got the heck out of dodge before they called the cops, cause I stole that thing at $55.

It is a 1976 model(just like me)  but in much better shape.  The tub is beautiful hardly a dent or scratch in it, original paint is peeling in a few spots but I think I will rub it down with WD40 and call it a survivor.  I don't think this thing ever spent a night outside in it's life, one of the tires has been replaced.  Not sure what style tire was the original, one looks like a cheap wheel barrow tire the other is a sawtooth front tire.  One of the original grease caps was still on the axle.

I am thinking about getting a home bed liner kit to put on the inside of the tub.  Anyone ever do this?

I picked up an original great shape C-101 and tub cart like yours, not sure of exact year, but the original owners won both the tub cart and C-101 in some type drawing out of state in 1978 then brought them to their camp in Greenville, Maine. Both were in excellent condition. Anyway, this pic may help you on what tires were original on the one that I got.

With a 8053 build date it should be a 1978 model 87-05DC01.
