Cutlas3391 776 #1 Posted February 18, 2014 Its been 6 months I've been dealing with this guy and he finally decided to sell his little RJ35 .He's one of thoses tough guys that don't like to sell anything. The worst part about this tractor its been sitting outside wasting away. So finally we came up with a price and the tractor came home with me. Cool little tractor i like the cast iron steering wheel. This is nice addition to my collection.

Dieselcowboy 210 #5 Posted February 18, 2014 Just from a couple pics I think you have a very workable tractor. That hood looks very straight. You should be very proud to get one of those.
Cutlas3391 776 #6 Posted February 18, 2014 Yea for some reason he has the ags not facing the right way. Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,497 #7 Posted February 18, 2014 Nice score. You going to re do it? Or keep the patina mystique going. Good luck. Glenn

VinsRJ 721 #12 Posted February 19, 2014 One thought, what you can't drive through you might be able to back out of. I can tell ya... the first time you put a RJ35 in reverse will be the last, The screaching sound will haunt you for days, LOL!
WheelHorse79 271 #13 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) Is this RJ a '55, '56 or a '57? Is there any way to tell? I know they have no serial numbers except for the engine. I also can't tell from the pictures of the hood to see if it has the Wheel Horse name embossed on it. Edited February 19, 2014 by WheelHorse79

Questions: does it have a channel or press formed frame? does the hood have raised lettered Wheel Horse on it or smooth nose?
Cutlas3391 776 #15 Posted February 19, 2014 Smooth nose for sure no letters I don't think the engine is original tho Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
buckrancher 2,679 #16 Posted February 19, 2014 looks like the channel frame in the pic I'm thinking early 56 correct motor would be a clinton 1200-2184 someones painted it red primer at some point Brian
VinsRJ 721 #17 Posted February 19, 2014 I s the rear hitch still in place? The rear hitch can also narrow down the year...

55rj35jr 623 #19 Posted February 20, 2014 Ok it has the channel frame,, original hitch is missing,, IMO I agree with Buckrancher early 56
Cutlas3391 776 #20 Posted February 20, 2014 I figure it was a 1956. It's a cool little tractor I don't see too many of these around no more. I'm starting to think there becoming rare. Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
cruisnblue48 835 #21 Posted February 20, 2014 Nice RJ-35 you found there. I picked up my own 1955 RJ-35 a few weeks ago. These early RJ's are really cool tractors... but yeah, you really don't want to drive it in reverse.
