boovuc 1,090 #26 Posted February 16, 2014 Give me a PM. I have one in my shed. (I think). Please call me before you spend some bucks. I can send this one up to you. I don't need it!

PMaine 31 #28 Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) Here's a picture of the JB weld job. Obviously someone who didn't know what they were doing dug into this eaton for a reason, I will put the reservior in but I still have my doubts that this is a good unit. On my 252-H this JB welded area is where the reservior screws into, on this tractor there isn't clearance for it here, and I assume there should have just been a plug in this threaded area. While I wait for the reservoir I figured I would start cleaning things up. I used POR15 as a primer. I will do the seat pan next. I got the snowblower at a hardware store on the way home, had to drag it by myself through a field but it was worth it. $200. Total investment thus far is $650. PMaine 31 #29 Posted February 23, 2014 Okay guys I took a trip to see Dennis yesterday for a rolling chassis. The new eaton 1100 is night and day, but I have a few questions. The power lift will not work when first started. It takes about a minute to get a response from the lift cylinder. My other problem is the reverse is very slow but I think I just need to adjust the linkage! It was a fair amount of work to do the swap and add the hydraulic lift system but it really makes the tractor! Thank you again Dennis!
smoreau 658 #30 Posted February 24, 2014 It is normal for them to not work right away when its cold out. I have to let mine run for a few min. before I use mine.
PMaine 31 #31 Posted February 24, 2014 Interesting thanks! I adjusted the shift lever and all is well, looks like now I can start enjoying the tractor!

dbartlett1958 96 #33 Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) I use full synthetic in my Hydro. Makes the lift start working quite a bit sooner. Now get yourself one of Matt's foot pedals once you get the bugs sorted out. Edited February 24, 2014 by dbartlett1958
