ARK 9 #27 Posted February 13, 2014 Welcome to the world of Canada Hehhh! Lots of saddle time, lots of winter with the snow piled 5' high even after the municipality cut back the curbs. The 312-8 with a 4' blade keeps it clear. Now I have to learn to hook up the mower, good thing I rebuilt the mule drive. Keep on wishing…Spring will come but so will more snow, more cold. leeave96 487 #28 Posted February 13, 2014 Ready... Depth is 3 or 4 inches. Fine for front blade chores, but unless it picks-up, I'll see what's waiting in the morning.

Ken B 3,134 #34 Posted February 13, 2014 I'm tired of all this snow already, I don't mind the big storm's its all the little one's I'm tired of. I think its Steveasaurus's fault we are getting so much this yr.. He was complaining he had NO snow last yr. Rumor has it that this past fall he was caught in full head dress doing a snow dance with a bottle of Scotch in hand...

shallowwatersailor 3,213 #37 Posted February 13, 2014 Just checked and the total so far is 15" overnight - with it still continuing to snow. Looks like the Ariens is getting the call today because it's too much for the blade and I haven't fixed the lift cylinder on the 520-H. I'd rather be riding than walking! Usmc1968 30 #38 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) Well, 17" is a bit much for the blade but the tractor did it in stages!! Driveway nice and clear now....yikes Semper Fi Edited February 13, 2014 by Usmc1968
JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,497 #39 Posted February 13, 2014 Ok. As promised. We got 10 inches. When I got the tractor out it was turning over to freezing rain / sleet. Wet and heavy. Here are some pics of my oldest Mike doing the action shots for dad. Glenn

shallowwatersailor 3,213 #44 Posted February 13, 2014 Just waiting for the tail of the storm with a few more inches to fall. I used the Ariens to clear most of it and cleaned up with the 518xi. I even had the C-105 out for a little exercise as well. Notice the sidewalk superintendent checking my work.
stevasaurus 22,528 #45 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) John...your dog looks like it is mad or sad because you are moving the snow. Put it back mate and get the sled out. Edited February 13, 2014 by stevasaurus
shallowwatersailor 3,213 #46 Posted February 13, 2014 Here's a video of the C-105 cleaning up. Notice the frustration at the end of not having chains installed! I just hopped off and pushed it clear. The steel blade definitely cuts through better than the rubber edge on the 518xi's blade.

This guy just loves the snow and follows me around like crazy. I'm going to have to get a double seat so he can ride with me.
