scotty 252 #1 Posted February 9, 2014 I was wondering if it would hurt your transmission if you leave it dry after draining it just leving it sitting will the bearings rust in a few days or not the transmission had water in it so i drained it and want to leave it sit a few days to let it drain good Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You don't have to be specific, just the state would be fine. Answers to questions such as yours sometimes depend on where you are located. Martin 2,133 #3 Posted February 9, 2014 Make sure you lift the front of the tractor up high to allow all oil to drain. The bottom of the trans has a hump in the middle and traps oil up the front.
