Stigian 1,234 #77 Posted March 24, 2014 1985 Merkur XR4Ti. New tires installed 7.jpg This just freaked me out a bit Over here in the UK they are called Sierras. The Cosworth engines have quite a bit of poke A little fact for you here... The engine was designed by a couple of chaps a Mr Costin and a Mr Duckworth, you can see where the Cosworth name came from... If they had of used the other half's of their names the engine would of been called a Ducktin Nice Wheel Horses by the way
cleat 6,689 #78 Posted March 24, 2014 No Cosworth engine in mine. It currently has a 2.9l V6 from a Merkur Scorpio (Ford Granada). This is mated to a A4LD automatic transmission (my knees balk at a clutch for everyday driving). Cleat
cleat 6,689 #79 Posted April 8, 2014 Both 520 hoods came back from the neighbour after being painted and clear coated. Fenders are painted but not clearcoated yet. Starting to look more like tractors again. Will let paint dry for a while then on go the decals. Cleat

cleat 6,689 #82 Posted April 9, 2014 Headlights and harness installed. Lights work fine. Fenders are back from being painted. Need to mount the tail lights and install them. On one of the 520's I am making up a rear rockshaft and need to install that before I install the fender on that machine. Hopefully one will be ready to cut grass whenever the snow finally melts in my yard. Cleat
