I replaced mine with a Facet FEP04SV electric pump. Works great.  I also used it on my D200 and C111.

Hey FarmBoy!

(I always wanted to say that)  :)

If you go to google and type the following as you see it:  KT17, kohler, fuel pump kit

Hit enter and that should give you multiple choices between genuine Kohler or replacement parts. You can look at whole pumps or kits to rebuild yours. You can also see the new and old parts numbers and if you have a favorite place to buy parts, you can search their sites using those numbers.

The KT series pump also fits many of the later twin Magnum motors so they are plentiful. They are quite easy to replace. I did mine and I have trouble walking and keeping my heart beating at the same time!

Good Luck!

If I have a small diaphragm pump on my d180, could I convert to a electrical pump? Are these more effective than the ones that use the breather pressure? Thanks

I put a NAPA electric pump on my C-165 and it works great. Best $ 57 bucks I ever spent.

Excellent! If it is hard to start after sitting a few days, TT had posted this link to a check valve that is rated for a garden tractor fuel system. This would keep the gasoline in the carb's bowl instead of having it drain back into the fuel tank. Our C-175's and most of the late 70's early 80's tractors seem to be trending into this issue with their advanced age. The tank shutoff valves are getting problematic. A cheap check valve fix or replacing the tank valve does fix this issue in most cases.

(And it helps to actually add the link also)!
