dandan111 31 #9 Posted January 28, 2014 Tricky, maybe 857 with the rear fenders off and a spring seat added? 8hp kohler? Looks like a early blade with a foot operated angle? Nice.
Wishin4a416 2,191 #10 Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) Tricky, maybe 857 with the rear fenders off and a spring seat added? 8hp kohler? Looks like a early blade with a foot operated angle? Nice. I was thinking 606/607 but like I say, Im not schooled enough on older models. But that cant be right, it has a Kohler. T McCool 287 #11 Posted January 28, 2014 He is a 1967 657 with the fenders, tool box/seat bracket removed and swapped out for the old school seat spring and swiss cheese pan seat, 6-12 carlisle tru powers, and full stainless stack set up that i fabricated myself. I love the older tractors but wasnt a fan of the "garden" look with the original seat, fenders and turf tires. The first RJ58 i saw sold me on the look. The blade itself is a Gravely that i narrowed 6" and made some modifications to make it work. Shortened the frame approx 18", removed the old linkage and handle for the blade pitch, installed a lighter spring up front so i can pitch the blade by hand with no hassle. Im really impressed on how well this turned out. I love it!
