squonk 41,010 #1 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Finally got Marvin up and running with a rewire. Found house wire, wire that is used to connect resistive heat strips, scotchlocks, and fuses used as wire splices all inside the harness. The Big-Block is singing once again. Glad my neighbor is lazy about shoveling so I had something to "roadtest" it on. Also posted a pic of the cleaned up wire and harness. squonk 41,010 #4 Posted January 19, 2014 Sun beat on it a bit today. It got a bit soggy and most of it were plow remnants from the villiage.
leeave96 487 #5 Posted January 19, 2014 Mighty fine video. I can see a tall chute blower is going to be in my future. Of course I'll keep the short chute blower on another tractor for shorter throws with close working snow chores. Got to have the right tool for each job... gregg'shorses 77 #8 Posted January 20, 2014 Love your wiring job, but do you have a before pic to amuse us. Those scotch locks should be banned. I was at an auction that had one of those trailers about 40' that are sloped to carry 3 cars. The electric brakes even had scotch locks. The whole thing should have been rewired BEFORE it left the yard. Unless it was put on another trailer.
