baerpath 517 #27 Posted March 23, 2014 You could narrow up the front by using a B series axle or drop and narrow it with a 200 series axle or a RJ one

dagwoodz 1 #32 Posted December 4, 2015 I ended up trading this horse off. I now have a box of parts that will be a c-120. I am reviving this thread. Or I can start new. Anyway I have the trans apart for inspection. I am going to either seal and fill the diff with grease or rearrange the pinions to create a locked diff. Opinions? We are allowed to move the engine forward but I don't want to mess up the belt angle and use of a stock belt. Any ideas? Will post pics soon.
baerpath 517 #33 Posted December 4, 2015 I know some do lock the rears. I've never seen it to be worth a doing. We run lighter oil in the rears (ATF) to save hp for the track. Why make the rear use more up just to move the tractor ?
dagwoodz 1 #34 Posted December 4, 2015 Going to run ATF. Thinking if packing the ring gear with grease for a limited slip diff.
baerpath 517 #35 Posted December 4, 2015 I wouldn't put grease anywhere in the rear. Having a correctly weighted puller will do way more for you
stevasaurus 22,717 #36 Posted December 6, 2015 What's with the grease??? Very bad idea...you may end up blocking the oil getting to the outer axle bearings, and it is not really needed. I think you would do more harm then good.
