Brit humour in the face of adversity

Given the storms and the flooding we've been having I was amused to spot the following impromptu sign on the A36. The village of Wellow is officially twinned with Couffe, in the Loire-Atlantique region of Western France, there's an official sign a tad further down the road but you've got to love this one.

A sense of humor is worn a little thin here too,but our pols have theirs.

Texas candidate for U.S. Congress Katrina Pierson, who is running against incumbent Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas) in the 2014 mid-term elections, blasts President Barack Obama’s record on the national debt in what the Independent Journal Review calls “one of the sassiest ads ever.â€

“President Obama says ‘I wouldn’t let my son play pro football.’ That’s weird. I wouldn’t let my son add $7 trillion to the national debt,†the ad states.

Yukon Humour.

Frank and John were crossing the Yukon River on horse back when John fell from his mount, as he was drifting down river shouted to his partner

Frank, please HELP ME.

Frank in reply shouted back, Aw shut up John and die like a man.
