Navig8r 132 #1 Posted January 18, 2014 Hey all..... I just recently joined.... I have a '94 416-H which I inherited from my grandfather. He bought it new, with an SD deck, and a tiller. I always helped him care for it, and change implements, and it became mine when he passed a few years ago. It was always cared for well, and is in great condition.... about 500 hrs on the clock, not sure yet if it's working. It sat in storage for about a year and a half, but we recently bought a house, and it will be busy in the spring! I have an Exmark ZTR, so the Horse will only see backup duty as a mower, but it may see weeks on end of being hooked to a cart. Next up is fluid/filter changes, etc.... and gettin it ready to run...... Among other tasks, it's been hard to find the time, but I will get it done over the winter.... Aint maintenance fun? I realized that, including 2 cars, I have 10 gasoline powered engines to care for! Good to be here in the 'Square!

nylyon-(Admin) 7,374 #5 Posted January 18, 2014 Welcome to RedSquare. I like your grandfathers choice in machines. I bought my 94 416-H new as well so I can certainly appreciate that. As you know the 416 is an outstanding machine, loads of power and the Onan sounds great too.

leeave96 488 #14 Posted January 19, 2014 Nice tractor and welcome to RS. I have a funny feeling the hours may slow on the xmark as you find mowing with the Wheelhorse is some mighty fine quality seat time.... ;)
Navig8r 132 #15 Posted January 19, 2014 Nice tractor and welcome to RS. I have a funny feeling the hours may slow on the xmark as you find mowing with the Wheelhorse is some mighty fine quality seat time.... Thanks..... I doubt I'll cut back my ZTR hours.. Got almost 2 acres to mow, and I love mowing with it! I probably won't even keep the deck on the Horse typically, which will make it easier to use in the rougher areas of my property for hauling a cart full of firewood, etc.... Navig8r 132 #22 Posted February 1, 2014 ...It was always cared for well, and is in great condition.... about 500 hrs on the clock, not sure yet if it's working..... OK... so I was checkin a couple things out, and I got a closer look at the meter, and realized I was wrong... There's 310 Hrs on it! Hopefully fire it up tomorrow.... among other things, I'll have to verify if the meter is working.....
