The snow keeps falling!

Recommended Posts

Well it started snowing here around 5:30 am today.   I cleaned off the drive about two hours ago and you would not know I was even out there when looking out the window!

I used the 1963 Wheel Horse 633 and she amazed me several times when pushing a very heavy load of snow!

I think I have snow pushed 12 feet into the yard on each side of the 24 foot wide concrete drive!    Just finished the second round!  Moved another 4 inches.   We have every bit of 10 to 12 inches of snow!  We used the broom on the dogwoods because the limbs were about to the ground!    And it is raining 45 miles southwest of here?   Crazy!

My generator is at my parents!   I am SOL if the lines go!      And it is on my C-121 !

Plus I noticed I was about to loose one of my wheel weights on the 633 as one bolt lost a nut on one side.   So I repaired that and back to business

That's nature's way of telling you, you should have bought a White Toyota  .   Great pics and 633+, Thanks. Just relentless torrential Rain, flooding, high winds and mild Temps over here. Glad to see your back to health :handgestures-thumbup: .

I went out this am with the 1967 Wheel Horse Lawn Ranger and the 32 inch snowthrower!    It was zero degrees and three more inches of snow on the drive but what was wet and heavy yesterday was now light and fluffy!   I moved the snow for an hour (sorry no action pics this time) and ran the tractor back in the garage.   I wanted to finish off the drive with the 1963 Wheel Horse 633 and 42 inch snowplow !   But went to start it and the CHOKE CABLE was frozen in place!

Lane...looks like we are all having a real winter this year.  It is starting to look like the winter of 1978 here.  I am a lot older now and have run out of places to push the white stuff.  At least, so far, it has been the light powdery stuff.  :)  Be safe out there.  BTW...excellent pictures mate. :violence-blades:

I wish I had my B-80 and plow set up with the rubber tire chains!   I may have to do in the am !   We have to drive to Decatur, Illinois to meet a friend of my daughters that they are staying with tonight to get out of Springfield airport in the am to get home to Corpus Christie, Texas.   Southwest which she was on cancelled two flights and was not able to get her on until Thursday to get home.   She's taking American Airlines from Springfiled.   We are leaving in 20 minuted and it is 10 degrees below now!   Weird one.    But I can say the snow has quit -actually stopped last night around 10 PM!

It is blizzard conditions out there Lane...check with the state police first and see what roads are closed.  Northern Indiana toll roads were all closed to day due to accidents and drifting.  I'm talking INTERSTATE 65, 90, 80/94.  Be careful.  :eusa-think:

its so bad up here because we had the severe ice storm just before Christmas,so you stop dead when you hit the banks, cant move it with a thrower or blade, had to get the bobcat out to make a path for the oilman to fill the tank

I remember the winter of 78-79. In south central Wisconsin my brother and I delivered the Wiscosin State journal newspaper. There were about 20 days the tempature was between -20 and -1. It never went above 0. We laugh about it now. But at the time the tires would go flat almost everyday and you had to finish the paper route pushing the bike.Good times!!
