18auto 0 #1 Posted January 2, 2014 Greetings all! Happy New Year! This is my first post. I recently acquired an 18 automatic that is not currently running. I noticed that the tranny fluid is low, probably due to an axle seal leak. The manual says the tranny requires 6 qts of Dexron or Type F hydraulic fluid. Does anyone know if Dexron III will work? Is there another type of fluid I should be using? I searched the archives and did not really find anything specific for the 18 Autos (which later became the D-180). Thanks for any help.
