sorekiwi 761 #3 Posted December 26, 2013 ^^^^^ What he said. But its an early one, the two "ears" that stick up are the mount for a hydraulic cylinder if that option was desired.

51Chevy 66 #7 Posted December 27, 2013 Like I mentioned on face book its odd because the tractor isn't a hydro and it has the mount
AMC RULES 37,134 #8 Posted December 27, 2013 Start collecting the parts now... so it can be a hydro tractor someday.
Lane Ranger 10,992 #9 Posted December 27, 2013 The old hydros had a separate pump added to the tractor in front of the seat and gear shift lever -usually on the tower frame of the tractor. That pump ran on a belt off the right side of the tractor between a pulley on the shaft of the pump and the shaft of the motor up front. The second part of the hydro unit was the cylinder (that Kelly's photo shows) and the frame that you have on your tractor. Your 854 could have had a hydro pump or you just have a rear snowplow hitch that had the hydro cylinder setup on it from 1963 /1964 which were sold by Wheel Horse.
