i am a new member. i have a 1965 875 wheel-o-matic.  the engine is knocking and smoking, so, i decided to replace it with the parts tractor motor.  identical motor. in order to get the old motor off, i removed what appears to be the mower deck or snow blower mounting plates. on the right side foot rest, there was a spring tensioned pully. i didn't think i was going to need it for running a snow plow blade.  long story short, i can't figure out how the belt and this spring tensioned pully need to be installed.  looked all over the internet for a belt diagram, no luck, pleanty of mowerdeck and snowblower info.  i am close to throwing in the towel and taking it in to a high dollar repair place.  i don't want to have the wife chew on my rear anymore that i deserve, somebody, please help me!!!!!!!

This should be your manual. The illustration should hopefully help. Are you referring to numbers 70, 71 and 72?

Even if you can't get it, post pictures. The knowledgeable folks here know these tractors by sight and can tell what's wrong.

You kind of answered your own question about that pulley. It does not need to be installed for a dozer blade to push snow, it's used for the mower deck only. But, it's usually easier to just leave it on because the roll pin that retains the pedal can be a pain to remove and replace each time.

Here's a pic of one installed on the same tractor. Let me know if you need any more detail

I had a fire in 2019 which destroyed my pole barns and some wheel horse tractors and parts. i'm looking for someone who can use the engine that went thru the fire. It is not pristine but there must be some usable parts
please call George at 517-499-5678 for more info.

      Hey all!

Replacing the drive belt on my 252-h. Anyone know the torque specification for the center screw when I put this pto clutch back on? I know it was on there tight it took a minute for the impact to break it loose. Thanks!

Not sure on specific model. This 8 spd came attached to a plow I bought. It had some water in it for a couple weeks according to the prior owner. I drained it, sloshed some diesel in it, drained that, then filled with fresh oil. Spinning the input shaft by hand, I can see the axels turn. Hasn't leaked any oil. I'm not really interested in shipping, so I'd prefer local sales.
